CMF Phone 1 owners would be able to access Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta 1. Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta 1, which is based on Android 15, has improved camera capabilities, additional customization choices, and shared widgets. Additionally, it incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) features such as a clever app classification system.
According to the British smartphone manufacturer, the CMF Phone 1’s initial beta upgrade provides an exclusive sneak peek at Android 15. It has features that are comparable to those in the beta versions of other handsets, like the Nothing Phone 2a and Phone 2, which were released in earlier weeks.
The update adds shared widgets, which show friends’ and family’s widgets on the user’s device’s home screen. Through reactions, they are able to connect and engage with people. Both the lock and home screens now have more customization choices, and the latter can now be altered by long-pressing the screen. Additionally, the clock faces have been improved, and the widget area has been increased, enabling users to place more widgets on the home screen than previously.
The CMF Phone 1 upgrade also includes moveable pop-up views, partial screen sharing, an enhanced setup wizard, fingerprint animations and charging inspired by signature dot matrices, and auto-archiving to free up storage space.
The AI-powered Smart Drawer is a feature of the Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta 1 release. According on usage patterns, it is believed to automatically group apps into distinct category folders. At the top of the app drawer, users can also pin the apps they use the most. According to the business, it has also improved the camera experience. It includes faster app launches with the camera widget, greater low-light performance, a zoom slider display, and a shorter HDR processing time.
